Hi, my name is Sam - I believe that brave is the new beautiful. Stepping up to live the life you love and have a career you deserve is not arrogant or over ambitious, it's necessary...and beautiful.

When I was a child my label was 'shy', and I carried that with me for over thirty years (it wasn't true by the way!). My parents divorced when I reached secondary school, and from then I never really had much of an idea of my purpose..... so I did many things, from working in a circus to marketing and nannying, always leaving jobs before anyone realized I couldn't do them (aka Impostor syndrome!).  Then, in my twenties I experienced bereavement, and my motto that 'life's too short' suddenly had real meaning. I asked myself, what can I not help but do, and I went to university to study to be a Careers Adviser..the first step on a journey to living my dreams.

I have always been fascinated by people, as I think we are amazing. I started off on my 'career' path with a Post Graduate Diploma in Careers Guidance and Advice and Guidance coaching young people, from 13 to 25. I noticed that, even at a young age, there were limiting beliefs and behaviours that stopped them from achieving the best that they could be.... and what was even more amazing (and frustrating) was that they didn't know what it was, and nor did I... so we were stuck!

Eventually,

I left this role to have my own travel experiences and I met many interesting people along the way. I learnt many things and maintained my curiosity with people.
Whilst in New Zealand, where I lived for almost five years, I was a teacher of English as a foreign language, where the many cultures, ages and attitudes of the people I taught continued to amaze and inspire, as did the intricate technology of the English language.

Then, at a crucial time in my life, when I myself was feeling stuck emotionally, financially and was in need of some direction (again!), I met a very special lady called Amanda Mortimer, the founder of Your Life Live It, who introduced me to NLP. Trained by Tad James, one of the leaders in NLP and the creator of Time Line Therapy ® Amanda taught me how to deal with overwhelm, by unlearning behaviours, how to remove all the negative squatters in my mind, and how to be the best I can be. I felt so free and so positive, and I knew I'd found a way to put all my skills together and help others get what they want too.

So,

a pubI trained with Drs. Tad and Adrianna James in Australia, for my Master Practitioner Certificates in NLP, Time Line Therapy ®, and Coaching and have since enjoyed working with many people to support them to achieve their life and career goals, using these tools within the coaching process. My mission is to inspire the next generation to think differently about careers. This may happen by seeing people around them doing what they love, or by getting their own coaching session as I specialise in working with young people too.

I am passionate that we can all live life in the amazing and get what we want when we are brave enough and believe it - as Roald Dahl says "If you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.”

I now live in Bristol, in the south west of England, and would love to work with you to achieve your dreams and goals. I continue to work with young people and have been awarded Best Practice Career Coach with the Career Development Institute in 2022. I have also been an expert speaker with BBC Radio Somerset and offer talks and programmes in areas such as personal development, careers for young people, as well as doing personal coaching. Although I have therapy rooms in Clifton Down, Bristol, my office is your office, so regardless of where you live, we can work together Online or telephone sessions too.

You should know I have a no nonsense approach, I'm straight talking and honest (and a bit of a task-master), but when you work with me and give 100% things will happen for you. Our sessions together will produce eye opening 'wow' moments, if you are ready and willing to experience them.

I am different to other coaches because I am qualified in careers advice and guidance, a published author, plus I use amazing tools within NLP and Time Line Therapy to remove that internal doubt that held you back in the past. I will work with you and offer ideas and suggestions, but essentially let you reach the conclusion that is perfect for you.
Other facts about me – I am a current member in good standing with CDI, ABNLP, TLTA...and I love life, love and learning! Most of all, I look forward to working with you. See how HERE.

Much love

Sam

The logo explained...

Picture
I'm a big fan of creativity and my logo was designed by me and painted by my good friend and great artist, Racheal Errington, inspired by my passions and my time in New Zealand.

The koru within the heart....the koru is a spiral shape based on the shape of a new unfurling silver fern frond and symbolizing new life, growth, strength and peace. The circular shape of the koru helps to convey the idea of perpetual movement while the inner coil suggests a return to the point of origin...and the heart, as we all know is the symbol for love!
